What is Positive Youth Development Approach?

Positive Youth development approach uses an asset-based approach to help students prepare for the challenges of adolescent and young adulthood. It attempts to address developmental needs like emotional, social, and personal needs to help them develop the necessary skills to successfully overcome the challenges of transitioning into adults. It no longer focuses on their deficiencies but instead looks at their assets as resources to build off of to develop good competencies for later success.
